Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage all aspects of project development for transportation-related projects, including deliverables, project schedules, and budgets.
  • Independently coordinate the work of engineers and balance the project delivery team throughout the entire project's development.
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing and proposal development, contractual matters, design, and internal and external meetings.
  • Serve in the role of Office Leader, overseeing daily operations/functions of the office.
  • Engage with industry organizations in Maine and other states in New England.
  • Proficiency and experience utilizing software applications (e.g., MicroStation, Open Roads, Civil-3D, etc.) with minimal to no guidance.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • PE licensure in ME
  • Experience with MaineDOT
  • Experience with Maine Turnpike Authority and Maine municipalities is a plus
  • A sound knowledge of AASHTO and MaineDOT Standard Specifications
  • Knowledge of MaineDOT Locally Administered Federal Aid project process for highway and bridge projects a plus
  • Quality control, quality assurance, and project management experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic with a desire to work in a collaborative environment

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
  • Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
