Job Description

Cozy Harbor Seafood, a leader in the seafood processing industry, is currently seeking a CDL Truck Driver Class A or B. The candidate must possess a Class A or B driver's license without restrictions, live in the Boston area, at least one year of commercial driving experience is a plus. This position consists of regional travel as you pickup/deliver seafood to/from our customers in Massachusetts to Portland. The candidate will start there day / run from Massachusetts area and deliver fresh and frozen seafood to Portland and surrounding areas. The schedule will then continue with picking up fresh and frozen products and deliver them to our storage facility(s), suppliers and customers in Massachusetts and surrounding areas. Schedule is designed to ensure drivers are home every day. Weekend work is required during the height of the season. Driving record must be clean and candidate must be able to pass a DOT physical including a drug test.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Load and unload truck, as a "driver load and count" or using pallet jack and other equipment as available.
2.Complete scheduled and unscheduled deliveries to/from vendors / suppliers as determined by the Logistics Manager.
3.Assist Warehouse personnel with unloading of deliveries and perform checks on materials as required.
4.Perform daily maintenance inspection on company owned/leased vehicles.
5.Adhere to company wide work safety, food safety and driver policies.
6.Maintain cleanliness of work area and vehicles throughout shift and at the end of the shift.
7.Complete and maintain daily DOT truck logs including safety inspection and daily driving log.
8.Report any conditions that shall impact transportation equipment, goods hauled or federal or state laws to the Logistics Manager.
9. Assist with other distribution activities as needed.
10. Flexibility with hours and start times, which may fluctuate significantly due to the nature of the seafood business.
11. Drivers are eligible for a pay increase after 30 days based on adherence to the logistics schedule, timeliness of pick ups and deliveries and over all feedback from customers, suppliers and the Logistics Manager.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
