City of Portland - Parking Garage Cashier - Full-Time
Parking Division
Full-time position (37.5 hours/week - 5 day work week) - Schedule is: Tuesday thru Saturday 3:45pm to Midnight
The Parking Division is currently looking for an enthusiastic cashier with great customer service skills who enjoys working in a team setting. If you enjoy working with the public by providing much needed parking services, this could be a great fit.
We utilize a variety of techniques and programs to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for our customers. If you enjoy a challenge working in a sometimes fast paced environment, we would love to hear from you. The ability to communicate clearly is a must, as well as excellent customer service skills.
Requirements:
• Previous customer service experience and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn and operate cash registers in a Windows-based computer environment.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Ability to make change and fill out accurate reconciliation reports.
• Ability to learn basic data entry tasks.
• Ability to interact with City employees and the public in a courteous, helpful manner.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work day and night shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to withstand cold temperatures during the winter months, and hot temperatures during the summer months.
• Ability to operate two-way radios and communicate with other employees via radio.
• Ability to be on foot for extended periods of time.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 4) - Pay starting at $19.03/hour. This position also earns an extra 45 cents per hour for Shift Differential pay.
