Job Title: Grinder Operator
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Start Date: ASAP
 

We are seeking a Grinder Operator for our client in Lewiston, ME. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding role in and industrial environment working with iron castings.  This role are essential to the metal production process.  This is a full time 1st shift position!

Grinder Operator Job Duties:

• Operate grinding machines and monitor for proper function

• Use hand grinders (vertical, angle, tip) to finish cast iron parts

• Replace worn grinding tips/discs on hand tools as needed

• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure quality specifications are met

• Identify and set aside defective parts

• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently

Grinder Operator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in manufacturing, grinding, or metal work is a plus

• Must be able to work independently, follow safety procedures, and stay focused

• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job

• Must be OK working in dirty and hot conditions
