Job Title: Help Desk Technician – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $40K - $43K DOE
Hours: Full-time, In-office
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a Help Desk Technician for a full-time, in-office position for our client, a leading provider of Managed IT Services located in Brunswick, Maine. The Help Desk Technician will play a vital, front-line role in delivering technical support to end users across various clients. The Help Desk Technician ensures timely problem resolution, clear communication, and effective documentation. This is a customer-facing position in a fast-paced IT support environment, located in Brunswick, Maine.
As a Help Desk Technician, you will be responsible for:

Providing front-line technical support to end users on system and application issues

Identifying, researching, troubleshooting, and resolving software and hardware problems

Coordinating with engineering teams, client IT staff, and third-party vendors
-
Updating and maintaining accurate documentation in the Client Documentation database

Assisting with client training on new software and technologies
-
Escalating unresolved technical issues as appropriate
-
Adhering to strict confidentiality standards regarding client data and systems
-
Supporting continuous team improvement efforts, including automation and process enhancements

Managing the organization and cleanliness of the IT lab/workshop
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Education: Associate degree or equivalent technical training in IT or related field

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a Help Desk or technical support role

Specific Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting software/hardware/network issues, familiarity with remote support tools, and experience with documentation systems

Personal Characteristics: Strong communication and customer service skills, problem-solving mindset, ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent

Physical Abilities: Ability to remain seated for extended periods, occasional lifting of computer equipment
