Production Worker
Washburn, ME - FT/Nights – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Job Description:
Full-time openings for Production Workers with a well-established business in Washburn. Entry-level positions with competitive pay and benefits; PTO, 401k, health, dental, and vision insurance. Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; $18.00/hr. + $1.50/hr. pay differential for night shift.
The Production Worker will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and cleaning various types of food processing equipment. Employee will weigh and measure ingredients, package finished goods, and work with colleagues to ensure that all requirements for food quality, safety, and sanitation are met. Previous production and/or food preparation experience helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate controls for various industrial food production devices.
- Weigh, measure, and load raw ingredients into cooking machines.
- Follow established guidelines regarding batch preparation to ensure that completed products meet all requirements for quality and food safety.
- Adjust cooking temperature and time as needed.
- Pull batches of finished product for quality testing.
- Remove finished product from the production line and distribute appropriate amounts for packaging.
- Sort packaged product for storage and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace that meets all required standards for sanitation and safety.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to move/lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow specific food preparation and sanitation guidelines.
- Previous production experience helpful, but not required.
Schedule: Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Pay: $18.00/hr. + $1.50/hr. pay differential for night shift.
