Job Description

Maine Coast Regional Health Facilities d/b/a Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital has opening for Pediatrician in Ellsworth, ME. Responsible for routine well-child visits: assess for growth, development, and general physical condition. Treat minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns. Collect, record and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports and examination results. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat and prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children. Examine patients and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnosis as well as explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians. Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary. Must have MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent; 36-month residency in pediatrics or related; and Maine Medical License or eligible.
