Job Description
Crooker Construction is looking to hire multiple safety conscience candidates with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn to work as Laborers on an earthwork construction crew. The laborer position will work as part of a team on a variety of earthwork construction projects such as laying pipe, site preparation, utility work, and more. The laborer will spend the day assisting with general manual laboring duties on the project such as moving material, dumping trucks, shoveling, flagging, setting out cones/barrels, operating small equipment, and cross training on other tasks to complete the projects.
As part of a crew, everyone is responsible for the safe operation and completion of the project. Selected candidates will have a primary role and responsibility but will also have the opportunity to cross train on other roles.
Previous construction experience is preferred but not required. Crooker is committed to training the right candidates. New to the industry? No problem! Candidates with a strong desire to work hard, learn a new trade, and be part of a team are welcome too!
Positions are full time, seasonal. Year-round work may be available based on an individual’s desire to work year-round and his/her skillset.
Requirements:
• Must have a strong work ethic and be eager to learn
• Must enjoy working in a team environment and be willing to assist other crew members
• Must be willing to work the necessary schedule which may include long hours, nights, and weekends
• Must have a valid driver’s license. A CDL license would be a plus
