Job Description

Responsibilities:

• The Crew Member will perform general cleaning and sanitation at various commercial buildings and businesses.
• Sweep, vacuum and/or damp mop hard floors and carpeted floors
• Dust work surfaces, furniture, and other horizontal surfaces. May include reaching high surfaces (with or without accommodation)
• Clean restrooms including toilets, urinals, partitions, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors and walls
• Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap
• Remove trash from containers and replace torn or soiled liners
• Clean entrance glass and other interior glass
• Work effectively with other team members
• Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, door lock, time & attendance, and uniform policies
• Operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaners
• Report stock and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor
• Prepare cleaning solutions (water, detergents, and other chemicals) according to specifications
• Properly stack and replace cleaning items and tools in cleaning closets and work vans
• Ensure supplies are available stocked for each shift
• Ability to run a carpet extractor and/or floor buffer a plus.

Qualifications:

On the job training; though the following is preferred. 

• General familiarity with cleaning best practices a plus 
• Knows how to set work priorities to work independently but can also coordinate work priorities to work as a member of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work for efficiencies without minimizing work results
• Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents
• Dependable, honest, strong work ethic, motivated, professional appearance and hygiene, communication skills, team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality and attention to detail. 
• Ability to lift 25-50lbs 
• Ability to engage in physical activity including standing, walking, stairs for an extended period of time
• Must work well as a member of a group or alone
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well

Experience a plus, but not required.
Will train the right candidates.
