For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:
0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
MaineHealth Podiatry - Rockport | MaineHealth offers expert podiatry services, close to home. Services include:
Nail care
Biomechanics/custom orthotics
Joint replacements for degenerative joint disease
Forefoot surgery including surgical correction of bunions and hammertoes
Soft tissue procedures for neuromas, fibromas and ingrown nails
Endoscopic procedures
Plantar fascial release to reduce immobilization and recovery time
Wound care including debridement of soft tissue and bone removal if needed
We are looking for a Medical Assistant in this practice. The Medical Assistant (MA) is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based environment. The MA will assist providers in the care and treatment of patients, including administrative support, while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office and helping to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. The Entry Level MA must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care within their scope of practice and according to organizational policies, accrediting and licensing bodies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required. An NH Med Tech License is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
3. Experience: 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required.
