Job Summary: The Experienced Line Cook will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Ensure the timely and accurate plating of dishes during service.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to execute daily specials and menu changes.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements when appropriate.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) is preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
