Food Service Aide
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus
Part Time – 25 hours per week; 37 weeks per year

We are committed to providing high-quality child care and comprehensive education, health and well-being services to children from 6 weeks to 5 years. We are now hiring a Food Service Aide to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.

Your role:
- Help serve/facilitate with preparation and clean-up of breakfast, lunch and snack daily according to the program menus and recipes.
- Transport food to classrooms and to other centers throughout our program.
- Work with children in the classroom, setting and clearing tables.
- Serve food family style and eats with children daily.
- Maintain established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation, along with following a cleaning schedule.
- Assist with nutrition education activities for children with teaching staff, according to schedule.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or HSE equivalent.
- Experience in the area of nutrition and food preparation is desirable.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds, reach to an area of two feet and bend to ground level.
- The Food Service Aide should be an open, warm, caring and accepting person and be able to demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
- Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
- Must not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
