IDEXX is seeking aQA Engineerto help solve problems, provide scalable and innovative solutions, and enhance existing VetLab software. You will join a team of talented software engineers, driving innovation in veterinary care.
Location: Westbrook, Maine. Ideal candidate is able to work onsite on campus.
About the Role
Do you want to play a key role in enhancing and developing Software solutions that enable veterinarians and veterinary technicians to provide care for pets in over 50,000 veterinary practices while contributing to improvements in pet health? The IDEXX VetLab Station Team would like to meet you!
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in customer facing software development and a solid understanding of Test strategy, planning, development, and execution.
Develops and executes formal test plans to ensure quality of software applications.
Plans tests, writes test cases/scripts, automates test cases and executes tests.
Defines and tracks quality metrics such as defects and test results.
Documents problems and assists in resolution.
Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners.

What do you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
3-5 years of QA experience on full stack application portfolio
Experience with Cucumber and Cypress
Familiarity with: Windows OS, Jira/Confluence, IntelliJ or VSCode, Java, Maven, Jenkins, TestRail, Github, ReportPortal, SQL, AWS
Experience developing and executing formal plans, procedures and scenarios for manual and automated testing to ensure quality of software applications. Experience reviewing and assessing test coverage to ensure thorough quality review.
Plans tests, writes test cases/scripts, automates test cases and executes tests.
Basic programming skills: Ability to write scripts or basic code for automation, troubleshooting, unit tests, etc.
Perform smoke, application, functional and regression testing, including appropriate level of testing to ensure that systems or applications are tested effectively prior to implementation.
Documents and tracks test results, defects and other quality metrics. Enters problems and issues into system and participates in resolution.
Develops and implements quality standards and best practices, contributing ideas and effort toward continuous improvement.
Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners.
Experience working on Agile Scrum team
A desire to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, utilizing agile development methods, test driven development, automated testing, and continuous integration
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills
Great attitude and a desire to learn and have fun
Results orientation, self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
