Job Description
General Description:
Moulder operator shall work to ensure all actions reflect the company culture, work meets or exceeds company standards, Values and working environment reflects that as outlined by the Mill Manager. The Moulder Operator will be responsible for setting up the Moulder prior to the start of each shift, running and adjusting the Moulder throughout the shift to keep product within specifications, light maintenance at regular intervals doing change overs from one product to another and will be responsible for keeping the machine areas clean.
Must be able to use precision measurement equipment, read and understand prints and tolerances, and troubleshoot complex problems. The Moulder Operator will operate in a way that is efficient and productive while supporting the safety mission and standards as outlined at Kennebec Lumber Company.
Responsibilities:
- Operates per SOP guidelines.
- Complete product changeovers (hardware and software)
- Adjust cutting heads, fences, chip breakers and pressure shoes as needed.
- Follow all LOTO procedures as needed.
- Perform spot checks to ensure quality control throughout the shift.
- Strapping packs/bundles of flooring with a strapping device.
- Maintain good working relationships with all team members and supervisor and follow up as needed on recommendations and or Trainings.
- Engage in on site safety practices and culture.
- Keep area clean at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High attention to detail
- Strong Communication skills a must
- Must be able to fill out forms accurately and with detail.
- Ability to work alone when needed.
- Accurately use measuring tolls to include calipers, dial indicators, and length measuring devices
- Ability to work with others toward a common goal.
- Stay calm in stressful situations and work through situations in a calm/methodical manner.

- Steel or safety toe footwear is required in all areas.
- Gloves required in designated areas-per task.
- Safety glasses are required in all areas.
- Hearing protection is required in all areas.
