Job Description:The Role: Patient Scheduling Representative

The Opportunity:
MaineGeneral Health is currently seeking a full-time Patient Scheduler to join our team of professionals at our Home Care location in Skowhegan. The Work:
+ Performs scheduling and administrative duties for Home Health organization
+ Accurately coordinates scheduling of patient care. Works closely with patients to meet scheduling needs and resolve issues on a timely basis
+ Accurately processes admissions, discharges, transfers, and resumptions of care
+ Performs administrative duties such as answering calls, data entry, and meeting coordination
+ Performs all duties consistent with MGH values and standards
You Have:
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills (effective listening, clear communication, effective customer problem resolution, and a warm demeanor)
+ 1+ year working in customer service, preferably in healthcare
+ Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
+ Experience with using everyday computer electronic technology tools (e.g., email, data retrieval, voicemail, and internet/intranet) as well as ability to effectively utilize and enter information in the electronic medical record (EMR) preferred
