$2,500 for full time
$1,250 for part time
*Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CTA position. Bonus amount prorated for part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
*Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Scarborough Primary Care is looking for a Clinical Team Assistant to work in their very busy, large practice. The CTA will provide direct day-to-day support to the provider; duties will include: rooming patients, taking vitals, as well as some administrative support functions. This is a very team-oriented office where staff work hard, have fun and put patient care above all else with excellent customer service and a willingness to help attitude.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing daily patient service functions to support the clinical team in the delivery of patient care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Graduate of an accredited vocational program, community college or university in the field of health sciences. Program curriculum must include patient facing experience.
OR a student in a health science program that requires clinical experience for advancement (i.e. PA ) with completion of an externship or must be completed within 30 days of hire.
OR completion of a MA program that does not require a clinical externship
OR completions of a healthcare vocational program with a patient facing component i.e. Adult ED MA program, phlebotomy, CRMA, PSS.
Other relevant clinical patient facing experience will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
License/Certifications: Current BLS required or must be obtained within 3 months from start of employment.
Experience: N/A
Ability to excel in a team-based care environment.
Working knowledge of continuous process improvement.
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff.
Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
Ability to project a pleasant and professional image even under stressful situations
Analytical ability required to gather and interpret information necessary to resolve problems.
Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others
Proficient computer skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
