External Certified Medical Assistants are eligible for a $5,000 (less taxes) sign on bonus, paid out in installments with a work commitment. *NLH member employees and those with a service break less than one year are not eligible.Summary:
The Certified Podiatric Medical Assistant (CPMA) Proceduralist is an essential part of the Podiatric Office. Under the direction of the physicians the CPMA will independently perform podiatric nail care on appropriate patients with the physician reviewing each patients nails prior to redressing of feet this includes appropriate documentation in the patients chart. CPMA will assist in other podiatric procedures as required. In addition; CPMA will assist other CMA and PSR in performing direct patient care as required during the patient and the physician’s encounter in Specialty Services, resulting in accurate/expedient flow of services.Responsibilities:
- Podiatric Nail Care (Procedure) – Perform all patient care duties as required by policy and accreditation standards – Maintain appropriate documentation in patients chart – Act as a resource to the patient/medical staff/ coworkers – Assist in the scheduling of patients requiring visits with provider or follow up nail care – Ensure appropriate coding/charges for visit – Properly ensure that all patients have been appropriately pre-visit planned – Ensure that all exam rooms are properly stocked and ready for procedures – Maintain a safe environment which includes knowing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures. – Report and directly address identified environmental hazards when appropriate. Report and directly address violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed. – Other Duties
