Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Partners has multiple openings for an Anesthesiologist working at various worksites in Portland, ME and South Portland, ME. Lead pain management and patient sedation before, during, and after medical procedures for adult and pediatric patients. Evaluate patients’ vital signs, medical histories, allergies, medication use, and other risk factors when developing a pain management plan. Monitor vital signs during medical procedures and adjust pain management and sedation as necessary. Work with patients to manage pain after medical procedures and surgeries. Collaborate closely with other surgeons, physicians, and allied medical staff to control patient pain and sedation. Supervise two (2) anesthesia residents or four nurse anesthetists (4). Must have MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent; 48 months of residency training in anesthesiology or related (12-month internship in anesthesiology accepted as part of 48 months of training); and Maine Medical License or eligible.
