MAINTENANCE WORKER III – Barron Center

The Barron Center campus is seeking an individual to join the facilities team. The ideal team member will be a leader that takes pride in their work and values working in a long-term care facility. The successful applicant must be comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of building maintenance.
Requirements: Thorough knowledge of building maintenance and ability to make repairs; physical strength, agility and stamina necessary to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions. Winter operations requires the ability to respond to storm snow removal on a rotation with maintenance. Also required is the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and residents of the Barron Center.
Additional Requirements: Valid Maine Class B driver’s license (must provide license number) or a qualified candidate may be hired as Maintenance Worker I with valid Maine Class C license and ability to obtain Class B within six (6) months. Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical exam and fitness assessment. Candidates must have and maintain a good driving record. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
Labor and Trades Union position – Grade 18 – Starting salary range: $22.12-$23.66/hour, based on prior experience.
