Job Description
The Pre-Sales Content Curation Consultant will partner with sales in helping customers/prospects on helping to identify the best content providers to support their learning strategy and extend their business objectives. Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) has developed our own content and has partnered with the leading content providers from across the globe to bring our clients a variety of turn-key, affordable talent solutions including competencies, skills, eLearning solutions, employee learning experience platform (LXP) and more. Leveraging over a decade of experience, our team works with customers to shape the most cost-effective content programs, share best practices, innovative approaches and provide insight into the overall content marketplace.
We are seeking a Pre-Sales Curation Consultant to help our Content Sales Consultants in mapping content from our content libraries to the current needs of potential content customers. The role will be a subject matter expert (SME) on content and provide support to sales in selecting the right titles and providers to match to a customer in support of their learning and employee development/business initiatives. In this role, you will assist in diagnosing client needs, understand what is currently being utilized, and structure the ideal content mapping from across a variety of content providers.
In this role, you will…
+ Become the “trusted advisor” or SME on all content solutions offered by CSOD
+ Understand and articulate the variety of content we offer across a variety of providers, and subscriptions
+ Interact alongside the content consultant with key learning titles in target accounts to both build rapport, develop long-term relationships, and understand their key business/leadership development needs
+ Understand and work with each client’s unique business, performance, and cultural aspects; be able to develop a point of view from an outside-in perspective
+ Partner with the sales team to be able to talk about marketplace trends, adoption metrics and recommend titles to be demo’d or delivered into a portal during the sales process
+ Provide guidance on learning/development strategies and content programs that deliver business results
You’ve got what it takes if you have…
+ Bachelor degree or equivalent experience as a Learning practitioner
+ Minimum 6 – 8 years of demonstrated learning, professional services or content industry experience
+ Understand the adult learning process and alternate learning methods, tools and technology
+ 3-5 years’ experience working with HR-related software, content, services or eLearning providers
+ Strong interpersonal and team skills required for client and internal interactions
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
+ Ability to independently handle many complex projects with an attention to detail
+ Entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional critical thinking skills, problem solving skills and emotional maturity
+ Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
