Your day includes meeting service recipients at their work location and ensuring needed accommodations are in place to promote a productive and positive workspace. You will also provide coaching and training when necessary, ultimately supporting service recipients’ on-the-job independence. This is rewarding work; sharing in your clients’ successes is priceless.

Job Summary: Provides job assessment, training, and support for persons served to obtain and maintain employment of their choice.+ Provides instruction and accommodations as outlined in the service plans for service recipients working in various business settings to enable them to perform at their highest level of independence.
+ Provides education and support to businesses, co-workers, and supervisors.
+ Participates in the development of employment service plans.
+ Develops/provides job assessments and employment opportunities outlined in service plans.
+ Collaborates with referring partners and Goodwill programs for service recipients (attend client meetings, provide information and feedback on service recipients’ employment opportunities)
Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a variety of employment sites
+ Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
+ Valid driver’s license permitting operation of a vehicle in the State of Maine with a satisfactory driving record
+ A background check that satisfies Goodwill NNE criteria for this job
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience supporting clients with disabilities or barriers to employment
+ ACRE Certified Employment Specialist
