Job Description

This position is a full-time on-site machining process coach role at Dearborn Tool and Die. We are looking to add a team member that has experience with CNC machining and NC programming in the Tool and Die environment. The team is looking for a motivated goal-oriented team player to help lead the machine department at DTD.

+ Supervise and direct the UAW workforce in all phases of Machining Stamping Dies.

+ Ensure every employee has all of the required corporate Safety Training.

+ Monitor department daily to ensure employees are working safely and efficiently and address all safety concerns immediately.

+ Monitor and report progress to department Manager to meet department objectives for Cost and Timing.

+ Take attendance, track time and pay employees in a time keeping system.

+ Work in a rotating shift environment with overtime and weekends as needed.

+ High school diploma or GED

+ 5+ years in the Tool and Die trade

+ 5+ years of experience in CNC 2D and 3D machining

+ Familiar with Smirt, Tebis and Catia software

+ Must have Strong organizational and administrative skills

+ Successful leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills

+ A history of successfully leading teams and supervising skilled trades

+ Strong knowledge of Die Machining, Die Construction, Die Tryout, and Lean Manufacturing Principles

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
