Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive project budgets, considering all relevant cost factors and ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements
Monitor project costs and expenses, identify potential cost overruns or deviations from budget, and proactively recommend corrective measures
Perform independent, in-depth analysis of project forecasts and labor productivity trends
Monitor project risks and opportunities to evaluate proper reserve amounts
Evaluate change order requests, assess their impact on project costs, and provide recommendations to project managers for decision-making and proper recording
Contribute to the development and enhancement of cost management processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and improve project outcomes with a focus on assisting the project field teams
Work closely with the Market Finance Leader to produce monthly and quarterly financial reports
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or pertinent experience
Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or Cost Analyst in the construction industry
Proficient in cost estimation techniques, budget development, and cost control methodologies
Familiarity with construction contracts, change order management, and procurement processes
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
