Job Description
Job Description: We are looking for skilled Class B CDL Drivers that can function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills.
The primary responsibility of the Driver is to help meet the needs of customers by delivering and picking up products in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
We seek highly motivated and experienced Drivers with a background in delivering construction and or industrial products and providing customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must hold a valid Commercial Class B Driver’s License or higher
- Current Medical Card or ability to obtain/renew asap
- Must pass an MVR review and must have a driving record in good standing
- Positive attitude
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- An ability to function well as part of a team
- Diligent attention to detail and safety
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport product to customer locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner
- Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
- Follow all corporate operational procedures and QC Standards
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Maintain the service and appearance of truck
- Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Warehouse Manager and/or Sales Manager
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or Sales Manager
Requirements
Regulatory Compliance
- Knowledge of GVWR’s, state/federal regulations regarding height/weight maximums, & winch operations
- OSHA familiarity/training
- Acceptable DOT Drug Test History
- Drivers will be subject to DOT regulated random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with state and federal laws
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and while securing your load
- Frequent use of foot/feet
- Frequent lifting 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
- Frequent pushing and pulling of truck side curtain walls
- Frequent use of winch & ratchet strap tiedowns for load securement
- Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes
