SMX is looking for a highly motivated Configuration Management Analyst with demonstrated experience to perform Software Configuration Management for the development phase of a project relative to software supporting aircraft and weapons systems. This position is open to remote and hybrid work.

As the Configuration Management Analyst, you will join a team of highly-driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting across the NAVAIR community.

The Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for:

+ Defining configuration management processes to manage configuration baselines for all ADT weapon systems, digital engineering, and software products in alignment with ADT Agile and CI/CD processes

+ Supporting the implementation of CM processes within the ADT cloud environment

+ Documenting and maintaining program CM processes

+ Developing team training for implementation of CM processes

+ Supporting resource planning for growing and developing the CM team to support emerging platforms in the program’s portfolio

+ Overseeing and managing all program CM activities

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Clearance Required: Secret

+ BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline

+ 6 years’ additional experience within these functional duties or an associate’s degree and 4 years may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree

+ At least five (5) years of experience in the configuration management process, which must include:

+ configuration identification

+ configuration control

+ configuration audits and reviews

+ configuration status accounting

+ experience with software development facilities, ancillary software testing, production, and operational use

+ Of the five (5) years at least three (3) years of experience is required using configuration management software tools such as ClearCase, Git, CVS or Synergy.

+ Strong understanding of CM processes and methodologies as they apply to managing SW Development projects

+ Some travel may be required

+ Familiarity with the following tool sets and applications:

+ Git

+ Sonatype Nexus

+ Attlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Conflunece, Bitbucket)

+ CI/CD and tooling (Jenkins, Bamboo, Gitlab, etc)

+ Agile

+ AWS Code Commit

+ NoMagic Teamwork Cloud

+ Product Lifecycle Management Tools (3dExperience, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
