Summary
Position Summary
Under general supervision, this position will be the primary contact for customers for questions and problems, provide some supervision for the Catering Assistants, and ensure that the quality of the food being delivered and presentation meets standard. This position will also assist the Cafeteria Manager with month-end reporting. This lead position may also be responsible for supervising food service workers in the cafeteria.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Ability to read in order to follow written instructions and perform non-complex mathematical calculations when maintaining logs and records at a level normally acquired through completion of elementary school.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: Three to six months' prior experience in a restaurant environment necessary in order to acquire customer service focus.
Interpersonal skills necessary to assign work and interact with customers when addressing catering problems.
Ability to stand entire eight hour shift, push carts and walk a third to two-thirds of shift.
Ability to use judgement regarding utilization of staff and resolving problems.
