Job Description
Hospice of Southern Maine is seeking a full time Clinical Nurse Manager (RN).
The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of the Home Hospice program ensuring continuity of care, cost effectiveness, and quality of operations. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Director, this position promotes agency priorities and communications, collaborates with other agency clinical managers and colleagues across all departments, and provides mission-driven leadership to the agency’s home-based nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and team assistants.
Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program. Associate degree in nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred; CHPN, OCN or Board certification in Geriatric Nursing preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing/supervising employees required. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of progressively responsible experience in oncology and/or hospice; case management experience (hospice or home care) required. Experience using an EMR required. Proficient with MS Office suite required. Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Maine; valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or agency requirements and is in good working order. BLS certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment required. Certification must be kept active during the course of employment.
