For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:
0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

MaineHealth Medical Group, a MaineHealth member, is seeking a Medical Assistant familiar with caring for patients in the outpatient setting. The successful candidate will assist providers in the care and treatment of patients, promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. In This role you will perform tasks as required, paying attention to detail and accuracy, conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. You will be joining a comprehensive ACHD program consisting of two established ACHD fellowship trained physicians serving more than 3,500 patients annually. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. The ACHD team works closely and collaboratively to provide a high level of care for this fast growing population of patients.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:
Graduated from two year accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting; OR
Certification with the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistant) or registration with the AMT (American Medical Technology); OR certification with the NHA (National Healthcare Association).2. License/Certifications: Current BLS required.
2. Experience: Minimum Three year in the ambulatory experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of healthcare field and medical office protocols/procedures
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff.
5. Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, and prioritizing tasks.
6. Skill in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately with ability to maintain confidentiality.

7. Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
