Vascular Surgery - Scarborough
Per Diem
Maine Medical Partners, a department of Maine Medical Center and a MaineHealth member, has an opening for an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Vascular Surgery team. This individual will be an independent practitioner who will join the 9 Vascular Surgeons and 6 APPs that currently make up the Vascular Team. The APPs on the Vascular Team see patients in joint visits, see their own patients and support our nursing team with triage. The Vascular Surgeons care for patients across the state and have outreach clinics in Biddeford and Lewiston. As a part of the Vascular Care team your primary practice location will be Scarborough. You may rarely see patients in conjunction with a vascular surgeon at one of the outreach clinics.
This per diem position requires knowledge of vascular procedures and surgeries. Our APPs provide vascular care, post op management, vascular follow up and maintenance care to patients in the outpatient setting.

Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
A minimum of 1 year practicing in a Vascular Outpatient setting or 2 years APP general practice.
Ability to effectively establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff physicians, nursing and allied health professionals, other hospital staff and patients.
Act as liaison between medical and other staff.
Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
Current BLS certification.
