Job Description

JAX Talent Acquisition is seeking a Student Intern to work onsite at our Bar Harbor, ME campus for the summer and possibly part time during the school year. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to recruiting and human resources in a large global research organization.

Duties/Responsibilities/Supporting TA Partners and TA Coordinator:
Assist with scheduling candidate interviews
Screen resumes and conduct phone screens for Animal Care and Ops Trainee candidates
Post jobs on various school and professional organization sites
Make connections with new organizations to work with JAX on DEI initiatives for TA
Create a postdoc database with offer details to share with compensation and education departments.
Create a one pager for hiring managers detailing ways they can advertise their positions.
Design a process for posting a position externally (mostly research)
Create a recruitment workflow process map
Drafting Interview Itineraries
Arranging candidate travel - working with TA Coordinator
Managing Outlook calendars for meetings and candidate interviews

Learning Opportunities:
Workday software
Resume and candidate screening skills
Job titles/Organization structure
HR structure and exposure to HR Business Partners, Compensation, HRIS and People Services
Professional acumen
Building relationships
Writing skills for business
Using MS Office in business setting: Outlook Email and Calendars, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Requirements:
HS Diploma
College coursework progression ideally towards a business degree or related field
Organization and detail focus
Professionalism and a strong desire to learn
