Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join their team in Bar Harbor, ME for an independent, non-profit biomedical research institution leveraging over 90 years of expertise in genetics and genomics whose mission is to discover precise genomic solutions for disease and empower the global biomedical community in she shared quest to improve human health. Title: Animal Care Operations
Department/Reports To: Manager
Location: Bar Harbor, ME (100% onsite)
Direct Hire: Duration – Permanent (full-time, non-exempt, W-2)
Annual Salary: $18/Hour with Free Paid Training & $2,000 Sign-on Bonus
Schedule/Shift: Monday – Friday/1 st , 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM ( rotating weekend requirement 1-2 days a month for 2-4 hours each)

PLEASE NOTE: They’ve added 2 bus lines that shuttle employees from up to 1.5 hours away. Cost is $20/week to use the bus.

Responsibilities:
+ Mouse husbandry.
+ Maintain and monitor mouse health and welfare.
+ Maintain a sanitary environment and prepare animals for shipping.
+ Team oriented production environment.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Working in a highly controlled clean room environment.
+ Fast paced that provides continuous physical movement.
Qualifications:
+ High School diploma or GED equivalency as well as prior successful work experience is required for all candidates.
+ Lifting 25lbs on a regular basis.
+ Walking up a ladder.
+ Work well in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Successful candidates will clear a pre-employment physical and background check.
