Business Systems Analyst who will be responsible for documenting and implementing system changes. Interact closely with business partners to establish an understanding of functional business practices and problems requiring automated system solutions. Plans and directs business analysis of the business problems and leads implementation of the agreed upon solution. The scope of this position includes gathering functional/technical requirements, assisting in solution design, and executing validation tasks to create a sustainable competitive advantage for Consolidated Communications (CCI)
Uses various approaches (JAD, interviewing, prototyping, etc.) to lead the requirements definition process with project team members from inside and outside of the company.
Maintains overall responsibility for clearly and effectively documenting detailed functional business requirements in formal written deliverables.
Conducts project meetings, sets and manages client expectations by escalating issues and changes when appropriate.
Provides weekly status on each project
Ensures detailed work functions are documented clearly and concisely. Effectively communicates technical topics in formal written deliverables, as well as in speech to both technical and business audiences
Acts as a business advocate and liaison between the technical and functional teams to ensure that business requests are effectively captured, evaluated and tracked
Plans, coordinates and executes testing of new functional and technical processes associated with the project and non-project work to ensure quality of the deliverables
Coordinates user testing and sign off in alignment with Quality Assurance practices
Ensure satisfactory transfer of custody and control of product upon completion (handoff) and close all project documentation and archive appropriate records.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Fluent in MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio)
Strong Communication skills and the ability to lead cross functional teams
High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work and multi-task across many assignments
Ability to facilitate and lead team conversations
Ability to assess change and the impact to a project timeline
Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables.
The ability to analyze and problem solve
Required Education & Experience:
In order to accomplish the essential duties of this position, the incumbent must have:
A two year degree in a related field or 3-8 years experience
2-3+ years of experience coordinating teams and facilitating collaborative conversations (Telecommunications industry experience preferred but not required).
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Highly organized with the ability plan and hold people accountable for their tasks
Some background in coordinating and leading cross functional teams.
