Summary
Position Summary
The nurse manager position is a key leadership and management position within the organization and provides direction for the overall growth and development of the department incorporating the objectives, policies and procedures of the nursing department and the organization. The nurse manager is responsible for effective leadership, assuring clinical excellence, promoting teamwork and collaboration, supporting professional development and managing the business of their respective units, with 24-hour/7-day accountability for the supervision of all nursing care in an inpatient or outpatient area.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: A Bachelors of Science in Nursing or higher degree and national specialty nursing certification is required.
License/Certifications: Current licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Maine. ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications
