Coves Edge is currently seeking a Team Lead to join their dietary team!
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $2,000 Sign on bonus for this Team Lead position!
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
This position wil consist of 32 hour per week.
Position Summary
Performs a wide range of food service and sanitation duties to assist in the overall function of the food services team providing leadership and direction to food service aides in a work area (dish room, nourishments, food prep, tray assembly, and tray delivery. This work also involves performing the duties of a food service worker and assuming supervisory responsibility during the absence of a food supervisor.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
License/Certifications: ServSafe preferred, or ability to acquire Servsafe within 6 months of hire.
Experience: 2 years of food service experience in a hospital or long-term care setting, experience working with special diets.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
