ReVision Energy is currently looking for an individual who is excited to be part of Solar’s rapid growth as a Residential Safety Officer. The ideal candidate will be located in, or have plans to relocate to, South Portland ME. This is a full time, office-based, M-F position.

About the Position: The Residential Safety Officer (RSO) will assist the Safety Director in managing day-to-day safety practices for on site commercial projects, residential projects, and our branch warehouses in Maine, based out of our South Portland branch. The RSO will assist in training new hires to instill best practices and train in proper safety procedures. The RSO will support Branch Operations Managers and teams to identify products, procedures, and equipment to assure the health, safety, and wellness of our sales, marketing, and operational teams. A vehicle will be provided with this position. Role and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

+ Conducts regular safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.

+ Performs safety audits, inspections, and investigations; collaborates with HR on disciplinary action if necessary

+ Performs Safety Audits and Field Inspections, reporting any inconsistencies and lack of compliance to Director of Safety and Branch Leadership on a monthly basis, includes findings in monthly report to Director of Safety

+ Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.

+ Provides relevant and meaningful safety content for weekly safety meetings in each branch.

+ Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs in small and large groups.

+ Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.

+ Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety, and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

+ Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies, and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.

+ Provides technical support to project managers.

+ Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.

+ Assist the Safety Director with workers compensation claims.

+ Maintains OSHA logs for assigned branches.

+ Assist with performing accident investigation reports of employee injuries; determines cause and recommends preventive measures to Safety Team.

+ Maintain awareness of new developments in the field of industrial safety.

Required Licenses or Additional Qualifications

+ Required – OSHA 30, OSHA 500, or OSHA 510

+ Bachelor’s Degree Preferred – Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Safety, or related

+ Preferred 3-5 years experience in the Construction Industry / Electrical Trades preferred.

+ Desire to succeed and thrive in a dynamic work environment and a growing industry.

+ Daily travel required

+ Clean and valid driver’s license

+ Ability to climb ladders, lift 50 lbs unassisted.
