Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is seeking a Vice President Information Security Engineer to join our team.
The location for this position is open to anywhere within our footprint of Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont.
Responsibilities (Essential):
+ Engineer information security monitoring solutions to detect and prevent threats to information and technology assets.
+ Provide security expertise and be an engaged resource for technology and business line teams.
+ Author and maintain documentation in support of the Bank’s Information Security Program.
+ Mentor junior team members.
+ Analyze industry best practices, trends and emerging technology for potential security program enhancements.
+ Respond to real time security alerts and escalate as necessary those events which may be indicative of a security incident.
+ Supports the ISO and acts as the lead incident investigator. Assists the ISO with defining incident response strategy to minimize impacts and recover assets.
+ Monitor threat intelligence and vulnerability disclosure sources to evaluate relevancy and risk to the Bank’s environment.
+ Ensure proper operation of information and physical security monitoring technologies.
+ Adhere to regulatory guidance/requirements (GLBA, Red Flag, Cybersecurity, etc.) and all established policies and procedures.
+ Enthusiastically support the Bank’s Guiding Principles and Brand Behaviors.
+ Adhere to federal regulatory requirements, such as the Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Acts, and all established policies and procedures.
Required Education & Experience:+ Minimum of Associates Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certifications are a plus.
+ Minimum 5 years of technical experience in an enterprise environment with a focus on Information Security or Information Technology preferred.
+ Knowledge of key security controls including operating system hardening, firewalls, antimalware, and vulnerability management is required.
+ Familiarity with current information security monitoring and security operations tools.
+ Familiarity with concepts of both penetration testing and incident response.
+ Strong technical and problem solving skills and attention to detail required.
