ReVision E nergy’s Montville ME location is looking for someone to join our Montville ME team as a Residential Solar Designer. The ideal candidate will be located in or have plans to move to northern Maine. This is not a fully remote position and will require time in the office

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Residential Solar Designer plays a key role in supporting the Operations department by developing CAD-based electrical 1-line diagrams and design sets for Residential and small-scale commercial project sets for use by the installation teams, utility interconnection applications and local building and electrical departments. This position works closely with members of the Engineering and Operations teams to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and without flaws. RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):+ Understand grid tied photovoltaic, energy storage, and EV charging system design
+ Understand relevant National Electrical and Building codes and requirements
+ Utilize, update and alter template designs as needed or required
+ Prepare one line electrical drawings for preliminary and final Residential system designs
+ Prepare Residential site maps that show solar array layout, relevant obstructions and major equipment placement
+ Prepare template based permit, installation and safety drawing sets customized to each Residential project and system
+ Post installation: update Residential permit packages to reflect any in field changes in an As-Built drawing
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS (required):+ Experience and proficiency in AutoCAD
+ Ability to work efficiently and effectively with daily and weekly project completion targets
+ Must have strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities in a high pressure environment
+ Must be able to work self-guided in a fast paced and growing environment
+ Must have strong problem solving abilities and great teamwork skills -fostering a positive team environment
+ Must bring a positive attitude; thoughtful ideas for growth of company are encouraged
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and other commonly used software, including Internet and E-mail
+ Must have good oral and written communication skills
+ Flexibility – adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions. Copes with change well.
+ Proactive – acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the process and procedures
Skills and Qualifications (Desired but not Required):+ Experience with CAD drafting
+ Experience in PV system design
+ Experience in PV system installation
+ Competence in electrical systems and designs
+ Four-year college degree – Engineering background preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:+ Limited physical effort
