Job Description:
At Regions, the Applications Systems Analyst reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support applications systems.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Consults with users to identify current operating procedures to clarify program objectives
+ Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections
+ Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures
+ Relies on experience and judgment to perform job
+ Responsible for data integration and configuration
+ Associates at this level are typically exhibiting strong basic executional capabilities and will begin to take on more responsibility; may partner with more experienced staff for complex issues
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field
+ Five (5) years experience in field or related field
Skills and Competencies
+ Familiarity with operations systems (i.e., AIX, Solaris, Linux, and/or Windows)
+ Knowledge and understanding of databases (i.e., SqlServer and/or Oracle)
+ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot application issues
+ Work in a team environment supporting Enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT)
+ Implement and maintain MFT applications
+ Setting up new customers (internal and external) on MFT applications
+ Ability to provide 24×7 on-call support (on call rotation), troubleshooting and problem resolution
+ Participation in new projects and initiatives requiring data movement, analyze and design solutions Experience supporting applications running in Unix/Linux environments, requiredShell scripting, required
Preferred:
+ Experience supporting Axway’s MFT solutions, including:
+ Secure Transport
+ Transfer CFT (Linux, z/OS & Windows)
+ Sentinel
+ IBM’s Connect: Direct
+ Familiarity with TSO, JCL
+ Knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP, HTTPS,)
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position.
