Job Description:
At Ascentium Capital, the Vendor Origination Business Development Consultant creates and builds client relationships while sponsoring interaction to obtain projects. This role assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients/sponsors including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations.

Primary Responsibilities
+ Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
+ Assists in formulating standard/routine proposals in conjunction with team members and various functional groups
+ Assists sales associates in developing plans, and the scope of work for each sales project with input from other departments as necessary
+ Communicates back to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations/proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth i.e. clear details, critical timeframes and expectations
+ Establishes and maintains on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems
+ Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
+ Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates
+ Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
+ Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals
+ Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques
+ Assigns sales territory to sales representatives
+ Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales
+ Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
+ Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives
+ Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
+ Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units
+ Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
+ Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
+ Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
+ Effectively manages sales budget for the region
+ Generates and develops new business to meet specified production goals
+ Maintains and nurtures existing client relationships
+ Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
+ Prepares and presents sales proposals
+ Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients
+ Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of company product information
+ Continually gathers information on competition and prevalent industry and business climate; and communicates information to management and others as needed
+ Ensures that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time
+ Provides timely and accurate reports as required
+ Attends and participates in business/trade events as requested by management
+ Attends and participates in company sales meetings
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field
+ Six (6) years of related experience

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
