SMX is seeking a part time Project Manager to support a current Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) effort on the MARLINS TO. As the project manager you will be supporting the effort CONUS (East and West Coast) as well as OCONUS (Japan). Travel for this position will be up to 25%.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Executes and monitors project activities
+ Coordinates cross-functional meetings of personnel related to project
+ Establishing communications with customers
+ Identifying equipment requirements.
+ Create, submit, and track equipment procurement documentation
+ Identify and coordinate with subcontractors necessary to complete task objectives
+ Reports status, develops project-related documentation, and implements lessons learned
+ Participates in project performance review meetings and discussions · Updates and maintains production and quality metrics for assigned projects
+ Provides support to the Contracts Administrator for operational direction and oversight
+ Ensures that contract service, quality, and performance requirements are met and compliance with standard
+ Works with team to problem-solve and facilitates issues and situations
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills
+ Required Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
+ Familiarity with Military/Contractor Operations
+ Familiarity with Military/Contractor funding process
+ General familiarity with adding sub-contractors
+ Familiarity with managing sub-contractors
Required Experience
+ Minimum 3+ years of project management experience
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
+ Background in supporting military customers
+ A. / B.S. degree. 2 additional years of project management experience may be substituted for each year short of the degree requirement
