Job Description
CUSTODIAL WORKER – Part-Time, 32 hours/week (varied schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays) -
Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department -
This position is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the City maintained facilities. Most work will be performed at Merrill Auditorium but may be asked to work at other facilities as needed. Duties also include performing routine facility maintenance as necessary and routine exterior maintenance, including snow removal.
Requirements of Work: Ability to lift and move heavy objects over an extended period of time; working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; physical strength and agility necessary to perform the essential functions of the work. Prior customer service experience desired.
Necessary Special Requirements: Must be able to work evenings/second shift. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
Labor and Trades union position - Grade 11 – Starting rate $18.72/hour.
