Summary
$3000 SIGN ON BONUS

Position Summary
Under supervision of Operating Room Manager and following established procedures, assists with the care of the patient in the Operating Room by transporting and lifting/positioning for surgery.
Cleaning and assisting in Operating Room turnovers and by performing general errands as required by team leader and charge nurses. Maintains general cleanliness and maintenance of the department.
*Opportunity for advancement to Level II after 6 months.
Monday - Friday 6:45am-3:15 pm
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with two years of work experience.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: N/A
Ability to anticipate, prioritize and coordinate work in a high stress, fast paced environment required.
Involves responding to emergency situations and tight schedules
Read, write and understand well enough to perform duties effectively. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously with patients, co workers, diverse group of O.R. personnel and multiple nursing unit personnel.
Basic computer knowledge preferred.
Willingness to work on rotating schedule.
Requires 3 to 6 weeks of on the job training in order to become familiar with:
Physical plant and operating room procedures including
Principals of asepsis
Operation of OR beds and equipment
Case cart checking procedures
Names of surgical instruments and equipment
Safe handling of oxygen tanks
