SMX is seeking a Project Manager to be responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) within the company portfolio. Manage resources, schedules, financials, issues, and risks, to ensure a successful and on-time delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Ensure successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
+ Monitor program reporting and assist team in reporting to stakeholders.
+ Establish frameworks and standards for program and compile program related financial and KPI information
+ Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed
+ Provide and maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking service across the program
+ Update and maintain the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register
+ Track financial reporting while ensuring the projects adhere to the agreed budget
+ Ensure cross-program dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained.
+ Coordinate project closure to ensure good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged.
+ Build cohesion within the team and motivate team to produce quality work.
+ Define and embed project control and governance
+ Provide Project planning, Milestone management, Scope management, Resource forecasting.
+ Financial Management; Change Management across the project portfolio
+ Prepare regular status reporting for the engagement leadership
Required Skills:
+ Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills, including experience with developing and delivering presentations
+ Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently
+ Experience or interest in managing project finances to stay within budget
+ Superior attention to detail and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.
+ PMP and prior work experience in higher education environment is preferred
Required Experience:
+ 5+ years of applicable experience
+ Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ MS Office suite of tools
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
