Job Description
The position reports to the Director of North American Sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships within pharmaceutical and biotech accounts on the transactional level and ensuring JAX business processes are ensuring a positive customer experience as well as achieving revenue goals within targeted strategic accounts. The position requires an individual with demonstrated ability to work with complex decision maker networks at large Biomedical and Pharmaceutical organizations and Strategic academic organizations. . This is an account management role with a focus on building and expanding client relationships both with procurement as well as with decision makers. This role works collaboratively with Account and Business Developers in support of their development strategies focusing on increased utilization of JMCRS products and services. The role also works directly with Product Management, Product Development and Business Unit Management at JAX.
While these strategic accounts are currently purchasing from JMCRS, management believes there is significant opportunity to develop deeper relationships within these organizations and provide a broader range of products and services. This broadening of relationships is a result of collaborative Business/Account Development and Commercial Client Excellence management strategies that drive stronger relationships at the Key Decision maker (C-suite) level as well as with procurement and contracting. While this individual will be judged by the ability to meet revenue goals, they will also be highly measured on managing and developing strategies that are inclusive of both the Business/Account Developers as well as other internal stakeholders that directly and positively impact Client experience.
In addition, this individual will be responsible for supporting the development of additional strategic opportunities as they arise.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
*Achieve revenue goals within targeted strategic accounts
Develop and execute business development programs to achieve JMCRS goals within targeted strategic accounts
The JMCRS Strategic Account Manager will have tangible targets in developing leads, following up on leads, closing sales, managing client accounts and relationships.
Accurately forecast business within each target account
Support the development of additional strategic opportunities as these situations arise
*Develop formal Alliances with targeted strategic accounts
Manage Enterprise partner relationships, working to renew and expand accounts by engaging partners regularly to understand their business goals and needs
Manage and support major strategic Alliances which are supportive of both the accounts objectives and JAX mission
Alliances will be developed to best align JMCRS products and services with the requirements of strategic accounts and secure the delivery of the full breadth of JAX research and service offerings over longer periods of time
Ensure 100% customer satisfaction with service based on corporate surveys
Work with staff and corporate partners to collect requirements and feedback that allow for continuous improvement of our business model and assist in upcoming years (i.e.- projections)
*Contribute to a high performing, highly communicative commercial organization
Leverage exemplary written and verbal communication skills expand relationships with existing and new connections and contacts through involvement on Biomedical community organizations
Leverage industry knowledge to drive consultative sales/solutions selling experience, exhibiting great confidence and flexibility in high-paced environments
Demonstrate commitment to creating a high-performance culture and positive work environment. Includes continued effort toward improving the customer experience, driving change when appropriate, commitment to a solution driven approach to problem solving.
Manage all aspects of corporate partner communications strategies and provide responsive and high-quality customer service
Work in a collaborative manner (and where appropriate mentor) with the Business Unit Manager, Business Development Manager of In-Vivo Pharmacology Services, Opportunity Development regional managers, Marketing and other internal teams throughout the organization
The salary range is $87,676-$150,707. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
*BS/BA required, MS/MBA and/or Ph.D. preferred.
