The Role: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) MaineGeneral is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at our Glenridge Memory Care unit in Augusta, Part-time 24 hours per week 7a – 7p.

+ Providing great resident care.
+ Providing physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, – using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
+ Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
+ Obtaining a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
+ Measuring and recording intake and output, taking vital signs, and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
+ Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
+ Gather samples for analysis.
+ Ensure equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned.
+ Uphold all health and safety standards.
+ Respond to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify patient needs.
+ State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
+ Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
+ Current CPR (American Heart Association).
+ Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
+ High School graduate or equivalent. (Preferred)
+ Comfortable using a computer.
