ReVision Energy is looking for a Director of Community Solar Farms to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be located in ME, NH, or MA and will have relevant experience. Travel and training in other ReVision locations may be required as well. The?Director of Community Solar Farms (DCSF)?is a new role within ReVision Energy’s Commercial business unit focused on offsite distributed generation solar projects that benefit our local communities. The DCSF will?be responsible for co-developing and implementing ReVision’s community solar strategies across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts with the aim of increasing access to cost-saving solar for low-income families and other individuals and organizations with limited onsite solar potential. The DCSF will lead ReVision’s Community Solar Farm team of commercial solar consultants focused on securing land and electricity off-takers for community solar farms as small as 100 kW and as large as 5 MW (AC). The DCSF will be a member of ReVision’s Commercial Leadership Team and report directly to the Vice President of Business Development (VPBD). Role & Responsibilities+ Analyze community solar markets and develop state-specific strategies with VPBD to expand ReVision’s CSF offerings in ME and assume a leadership position in the emerging CSF market in NH; identify and pursue targeted CSF opportunities in MA
+ Lead the CSF land team in identifying, qualifying, and securing options from landowners for solar-ready sites ranging from 1 acre to 25 acres, in accordance with state-specific goals and site criteria
+ Lead the CSF off-take team in education and outreach to secure electricity off-taker agreements for CSF sites, in accordance with state-specific goals and incentive programs, with an emphasis on expanding solar access to low-income and environmental justice communities
+ Collaborate with ReVision’s residential Community Solar Farm Manager to set CSF shareholder sales targets (under ITC Section 25D) based on site availability, and ensure seamless coordination with ReVision’s Commercial teams developing and installing 25D CSFs
+ Monitor changing local, state, and federal incentives and regulations pertaining to CSF’s; ensure ReVision’s CSF strategies remain up to date as markets evolve
+ Develop forward-looking state legislative and/or regulatory strategies with ReVision leadership to facilitate the expansion of community solar farms that serve low-income and environmental justice communities
+ Network and collaborate with community stakeholders to develop proper siting of CSF’s, which can include local zoning guidance and/or dual use applications such as agrivoltaics.
Qualifications:??+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in clean energy, conservation, and/or environmental justice fields
Preferred candidate has:?+ Advanced degree in energy, conservation, environmental justice or related fields
+ Demonstrated experience developing and implementing relevant business/organizational development strategies
+ Working knowledge of solar energy systems and key siting considerations in target New England markets; ability to quickly master technical siting criteria and effectively evaluate potential land opportunities
+ Working knowledge of community solar regulations and incentives in target New England markets
+ Active network of potential land and off-taker partners in New England or demonstrated ability to develop such a network
+ Demonstrated success building/managing teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
+ Proactive, strategic thinker with sound technical skills, exceptional analytical ability, good judgment and ability to collaborate?
+ Excellent oral and written communications; effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead
