Job Description
The Town of Greene Public Works Department has an immediate opening for a full-time Equipment Operator/Truck Driver/Laborer. Successful candidates will have experience with the operation of light & heavy trucks and construction equipment. Experience in snow plowing operations a plus. Maine Driver’s License CDL Class B endorsement is required. This position involves manual work in road construction, repair and maintenance, snow plowing and other seasonal work projects.
Winter Hours are Monday – Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm not including mandatory overtime for snow plowing operations. Summer hours are Monday – Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm. The Town offers a competitive pay rate $17 to $20 depending on experience and benefits package. Medical, Dental & Life Insurance is 100% paid for employee. Employee has the option to pay a minimal fee for Income Protection and Vision Insurance. Paid vacations, personal/sick time and 12 paid holidays.
