Job Description:

At Regions, the Information Technology Asset Manager is responsible for the strategic management of software and hardware assets as well as performing extensive financial analyses for cost-effective acquisition programs.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Collaborates with Technology teams in determining short-term and long-term software and hardware requirements

+ Establishes frameworks, policies, and standards for full lifecycle management of all hardware and software technology assets from acquisition through disposal, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and KPI’s

+ Contributes to the determination of plans and selection criteria for acquiring technology hardware and software assets

+ Prioritizes asset inventory roadmaps to ensure focus on overall asset management strategic objectives

+ Structures and negotiates terms and licensing agreements with outside suppliers to obtain the required products that meet business requirements at the most cost-effective terms

+ Identifies key asset attributes and builds unique data gathering processes to ensure repeatable and accurate capturing and reporting related to assets

+ Manages external vendors following the Third Party, Risk, and Procurement processes in support of Information Technology Asset Management

+ Develops lease/buys models for software and hardware to ensure operational integrity and cost-effectiveness

+ Contributes to governance, processes, and reporting of ITAM data including key reports

+ Acts as system owner for applications used to track and report on software and hardware assets including feature and vendor management activities

+ May provide advice and guidance to less-experienced Asset Managers

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.


+ Bachelor’s degree in related field

+ Four (4) years of experience in technology asset management, project management, or related field

Skills and Competencies

+ Ability to learn additional systems as needed

+ Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts

+ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

+ Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

+ Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Primary Responsibilities

+ Identify, record, maintain, monitor, audit, and detail Information Technology assets

+ Perform regular audits of company owned infrastructure, hardware, and telephony assets.

+ Participate in cross platform projects relating to services associated to infrastructure assets and configuration management processes

+ Maintain and support endpoint and device management

+ Perform data collection and analysis of all global technology – hardware throughout the enterprise

+ Identify, analyze, and recommend changes to hardware purchases, inventories, reporting including decommissioning and asset recovery to mitigated associated risks

+ Assist with policies and operating processes throughout the entire asset lifecycle

+ Participate in the development for configuring, crafting, maintaining, and supporting the asset management system (CMDB/CSDM) for service and the lifecycle

+ Ensure appropriate updates are made to the asset management system

+ Provide management with recommendations for updates to the development of asset standards that include the identification, classification, and control of assets including asset recovery and decommissioning


+ Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Technology, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ 4 – 6 years of ITAM experience

+ 2 – 4 years of Infrastructure & Networking experience

Skills and Competencies

+ Understanding of core IT network infrastructure

+ Experience with ServiceNow, CMDB, & HAM Pro

+ Knowledge of business applications such as Tanium, SCCM, SNOW, Casper, SolarWinds, ExtraHop, and CrowdStrike

+ Knowledge of networking and infrastructure, Datacenters, IDF/MDF, and lifecycle management

+ Basic understanding of information technology, related user documentation and technical verbiage

+ Experience with spreadsheet modeling, financial and decision analysis, working with large datasets and basic probability and statistics

+ Big data experience

+ Experience crafting and writing policy SOPs

+ ITIL/ITAM or related certification a plus

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position.

$65,314.00 USD


$95,590.00 USD
