Job Description

The Summer Internship Program at Bangor Savings Bank is a temporary 12-week employment assignment. It not only gives your excellent professional work experience, but will have a meaningful and rewarding learning experience.

• Interns are assigned to a department from June to August for 12 weeks working with a supportive manager/sponsor

BSB Internships are project-based; interns will deliver a capstone project and present to the bank leadership. You have a voice and it will be listened to

• All Bangor Savings Bank Internships are paid

• Partner with Maine Career Catalyst (ME) and Stay Work Play (NH) to provide educational and networking opportunities

• Meet various Key Leaders of the bank each week with opportunities to shadow different areas of the bank and explore community banking as a possible career

• Interns will work with the Bank’s management trainees, participate in community service project and participate in the popular Intern Olympics

Qualifications

You must be a current college student in positive academic standing. At Bangor Savings Bank, we are all about making an impact and we would like to see leadership skills as evidenced by extracurricular, internship, community involvement and/or professional experiences. Intercultural competency and strong communications skills – verbal, written, and listening, are a must.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, CONDITION REQUIREMENTS, & EQUIPMENT USED:

+ General office environment

+ Essential functions of the job are performed on Bank premises

+ Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required

+ Must have a valid Maine Driver’s License and transportation
