Job Description
Portland Harbor Hotel in Portland, ME has following positions from 4/1/23 to 11/30/23.
Housekeeper:
- 12 openings
- Clean guest rooms and public areas daily including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming, making beds and replenishing linens.
- 35hrs/wk. Shifts: 8am – 3pm & 4p – 11pm. Monday through Sunday. Scheduled shifts and workdays vary.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays & rotate shifts.
- Minimum starting wage $16/hour. Overtime maybe available over 40 hours/week at $24/hour.
- Pay bi-weekly, employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
- One month experience required
- Daily transportation to/from work is not provided
- On-the- job training is not provided.
- No education required
- Supplies, work tools & equipment are provided free
- Optional employee housing is offered at $180/wk per person (includes utilities) and will be deducted from paycheck bi-weekly.
- Employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law weekly
- Guaranteed work for total hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12-week period
- If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation expenses and daily subsistence (min $14/day and max $59/day) from worker’s place of recruitment, If the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early employer will arrange and pay directly for return transportation and daily subsistence (min $14/day and max $59/day), upon departure to worker’s place of recruitment.
